Vincent Massey Award:

The best six posters presented by the young participants will receive "Vincent Massey Awards". The awardees should be the first authors of the poster presentations and should have less than 10 years in research prior to the start of their Ph.D. research.

Awardees will receive certificates (medals) and an amount equivalent to their registration and accommodation costs. Short talks (15 min) will be presented by awardees on the afternoon of 22nd April (Friday), 2005.

Applicants for the Vincent Massey Award must send an electronic copy of their abstracts with their brief CVs directly by E-mail (with attachments) to Takeshi Nishino, Chairperson, by 15th February 2005. Awardees will be chosen by the selection committee, which consists of international experts. The members of the selection committee will not be available to the public prior to the final decision. Applicants may need to prepare for their short talks in advance regardless their final decisions.

Travel Support for Young Participants:

Awardees will receive limited amount of travel support.

Applicants must send an electronic copy of their abstracts with their brief CVs and recommendation letter by their supervisors directly by E-mail to Takeshi Nishino, Chairperson, by 28th February 2005. Awardees will be chosen by the organizing committee
