Aims and Scope

The Journal of Nippon Medical School (JNMS) is the official journal of the Medical Association of Nippon Medical School. Dedicated to advancing human health and welfare globally, JNMS serves as an international platform for clinicians and researchers across a wide range of medical and biological science disciplines to exchange biomedical insights, disseminate novel scientific achievements, and drive evidence-based medical discussion.

The journal welcomes submissions that offer fresh insights into any aspect of the biomedical and health sciences, provided they have not been published or are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Submissions may be in the form of original articles, review articles, case reports, or letters to the editor.

Peer Review and Acceptance

All submitted manuscripts undergo rigorous scientific peer review, and decisions regarding acceptance are based primarily on the scientific quality, originality, and significance of the work. Upon acceptance, an official letter of acceptance is sent to the designated corresponding author. Manuscripts are published on a page-charge basis; current rates can be found in the Instructions to Authors (https://www.nms.ac.jp/sh/jnms/insttoa.html).

Publication and Abstracting/Indexing

JNMS is published bi-monthly as an online-only open access journal. All full-text articles are freely available on the journal website (https://www.nms.ac.jp/sh/jnms/), ensuring rapid worldwide dissemination. The journal is widely indexed and abstracted in major international databases and retrieval systems, including Science Citation Index Expanded, BIOSIS Previews, PubMed/MEDLINE, Embase, EBSCO, and J-STAGE.

Electronic Archives

Since 2008, JNMS has been included in the official electronic journal archives operated by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
