Aims and Scope

The international effort to understand, treat and control disease involve clinicians and researchers from many medical and biological science disciplines. The Journal of Nippon Medical School (JNMS) is the official journal of the Medical Association of Nippon Medical School and is dedicated to furthering international exchange of medical science experience and opinion. It provides an international forum for researchers in the fields of bascic and clinical medicine to introduce, discuss and exchange thier novel achievements in biomedical science and a platform for the worldwide dissemination and steering of biomedical knowledge for the benefit of human health and welfare. Properly reasoned discussions disciplined by appropriate references to existing bodies of knowledge or aimed at motivating the creation of such knowledge is the aim of the journal.

The journal invites original articles, review articles, short communications, reports on experiments and clinical cases, and case reports containing new insights into any aspect of biomedical sciences and health sciences that are not published or being considered for publication elsewhere.

Peer Review and Acceptance

All manuscripts submitted for publication are scientifically peer-reviewed, and the basic criteria for acceptance are the scientific quality of the work described and the priority rate. Upon acceptance, an official letter of acceptance is sent to the designated corresponding author. Manuscripts are published on a page charge basis, the current rates being available on application to the journal.

Publication and Abstracting/Indexing

The JNMS is published bi-monthly on a regular basis and its free full text online version assures that articles are rapidly available for worldwide distribution. This "Open access" policy indicates that articles published can be freely accessed online at the journal's website (https://www.nms.ac.jp/sh/jnms/) by all users. The journal is widely indexed and abstracted by the world abstracting services and data retrieval systems including Science Citation Index Expanded, BIOSIS Previews, PubMed/Medline, EMBASE, EBSCO, J-Stage and other abstracting and data retrieval systems.

Distribution

The printed copies of the journal and any supplements that are published are distributed worldwide to a regular subscribers list including libraries and individuals in Universities, Medical Schools, Hospitals, Research Institutes, Industry and other organizations.

Electronic Archives

JNMS has been selected as one of the qualified journals for official electronic archives which are operated by The Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology since 2008.
